Joseph Gray has been the opening act for one of industries longest running shows, Amateur Night at the Apollo for 25 years. In 1987, he performed with the funk group Cameo. In 1989-1991, he sang background vocals with artists Lillo Thomas, Angela Bofill and Lenny Kravitz. He was a Featured vocalist on "Feeling It," a CD recorded with Dancing With The Stars musical director Ray Chew.
