Melanie is a sought-after music director in the Greater Hartford region, having worked with college, community, and professional theater companies throughout Connecticut and Massachusetts, including the Young People's Center for Creative Arts, Ivoryton Playhouse, and New Paradigm Theatre. At her home theater Playhouse on Park, she has served as music director for several critically acclaimed productions, including The Scottsboro Boys and Bandstand. A well-respected and passionate educator, Melanie has presented at local, state, and national music education conferences. She was previously a faculty member in The Hartt School Theatre Division and currently teaches at the Greater Hartford Academy of the Arts High School.
